The Full Day Tour to the 7 Lagoons is one of the most spectacular adventures you can enjoy in the Cusco region. This route takes you through a landscape of mountains, valleys, and dreamlike lagoons, located in the foothills of the Andes, in the Pitumarca district, south of Cusco. The 7 Lagoons are known for their turquoise waters and the stunning natural beauty that surrounds them, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and trekkers. During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views, spot wildlife, and learn more about the customs of the local communities.

Altitude Levels and Route:

Starting Point: The tour begins early in the morning (around 4:00 AM) with a bus ride from Cusco to Pitumarca, located at approximately 3,500 meters above sea level.
Highest Point: During the hike, you will ascend to 4,300 meters above sea level, reaching the highest of the 7 lagoons. This is the highest point of the trek.
End Point: The journey concludes with a return to Cusco in the late afternoon.

Early Departure (4:00 to 4:30 AM)

Start your day with energy. We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco and embark on a 3-hour drive to the picturesque village of Cusipata (3,700 meters above sea level), where we'll stop for a delicious breakfast to recharge your batteries for the adventure. (Breakfast included in the tour)

Arrival to Pacchanta and the 7 Ausangate Lagoons

After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at the village of Pacchanta. We'll ascend gradually until we reach (hike) our first lagoon at 4,650 meters above sea level, followed by the subsequent ones. The route covers approximately 11 km and will take about five hours to explore. During this time, we will visit the Azulqocha, Orco Otorongo, China Otorongo, Puqacocha, Alqacocha, Qomercocha, and Patacocha lagoons, and marvel at the views of majestic mountains such as Ausangate, Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Caracol, and Tinke. The tour includes not only the lagoons but also spectacular views of the mountains, glaciers, and wildlife. Travelers may see vicuñas, alpacas, and Andean foxes along the way. This lagoon circuit is famous for its natural beauty and is one of the most popular trekking routes in the area. The tour will take approximately 3 hours.

Return and lunch in Cusipata

After completing the circuit of the 7 Ausangate lagoons, we will return to Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch starting at 2:00 pm. After lunch, we will return to Cusco. The return trip will begin at 3:00 pm, arriving approximately between 4:30 and 5:30 pm.
