Tour Description:
Laguna Humantay is one of the most breathtaking destinations in the Cusco region. Located at 4,200 meters above sea level, this turquoise lake is fed by the Humantay Glacier, which reflects majestically in the clear water. The journey begins early in the morning, heading towards the village of Mollepata, located in the Apurímac Valley, where the hike begins.
The walk to the lagoon is a moderate ascent that takes between 1.5 to 2 hours, with a slightly uneven terrain but manageable for most hikers. Along the way, you'll be surrounded by spectacular views of the snow-capped Andean peaks and lush valleys. Upon reaching the summit, you'll be amazed by the view of Humantay Lagoon, a magical spot surrounded by mountains that have been revered by local communities for generations.

Early Departure
Start your day with energy. We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco and embark on a 3-hour drive to the picturesque town of Mollepata (2,900 m/9,514 ft), where we'll stop for a delicious breakfast to refuel you for the adventure. (Breakfast included in the tour)
Arrival in Soraypampa
From Mollepata, we'll continue our journey to Soraypampa (3,850 m/12,631 ft), the starting point of our trek. The scenery along the way will leave you speechless, with breathtaking views of the surrounding Andean mountains.
The Trek to Humantay Lagoon
Begin the trek with our expert guide, who will lead you on an incredibly scenic route. If you prefer not to walk the entire route, you can rent a local horse (additional cost of 160-180 soles).
As we ascend, you'll enjoy the native flora and fauna, while the Andean landscape captivates you with its beauty. Don't forget your camera!
The Dazzling Humantay Lagoon
We've reached the highlight of the day! The Humantay Lagoon, with its crystal-clear turquoise waters, is surrounded by the imposing snow-capped mountains of Humantay and Salkantay. A place full of magic and serenity, perfect for relaxing and taking spectacular photos. Your guide will tell you all about the history and geography of the area.
Return to Mollepata and Lunch
After marveling at the lagoon, we'll begin the descent to Soraypampa. Once in Mollepata, enjoy a delicious lunch to recharge your batteries before continuing the journey. (Lunch included in the tour)
Return to Cusco
In the afternoon, we'll return to Cusco, dropping you off near the Plaza de Armas so you can continue exploring the city. An unforgettable tour that will connect you with the nature and culture of the Andes in just one day!
